On or about two years ago, we purchased the equipment for reverse osmosis system from Culligan Water. This system cost us on or about $1500 in getting it installed. We debated between renting it or buying it vs. buying 18L bottles. For two years, we used this system drinking the water and giving it to our two dogs however three weeks ago, we encountered issues with their system. Upon turning the water tap, we pushed the button to activate the system but it did not stay on. We had to press it every 10 seconds otherwise it automatically went back to city water with all minerals. As it was time to change the filters, we placed a call to have them changed and as well for the guy to have a look at the defective system. We did everything as per their instructions, changed the batteries etc. We placed a call on or about the week of July 24 and the company sent us someone to have a look at the issue on Friday, July 28th to change the filters and to have a look at the system. We were charged for the change of filters 175$ (which we agreed to) however, we were also charged another 175$ for service call. Although, the gentleman was very polite, we exprected that with after 14 years of experience, he would have had some leverage in making a "judgment call" to try and fix the issue but to our great disappointment he recorded the issue of the defective system on his phone, and said that he would report it to management's attention while dropping off the paper work on Monday, and should expect a come back of the next step (no deadline given). I followed up all week and to our despair were left with unsolved issue the long weekend of August 6, which issue worsen over the weekend. The system would no longer kick in and we were left with drinking water tap water.
